Post-Passover Commentary on the Death of Osama Bin Laden
Should we “celebrate” the death of Osama Bin Laden?
During our Passover Seder we also remember and recite the ten plagues inflicted upon the Egyptians. We place our pinky finger into our individual cups filled to the brim with dark, red, bloodlike wine. We remove a drop of wine for each of the plagues inflicted on the Egyptians, our ancient slave masters. We consciously remove a portion of our joy– we withdraw a portion of our pleasure in their pain. Continue reading →
